The client required a weeklong, large scale, Corporate National Managers Conference and Sales kick off.
Our brief was to turn this annual conference into the companies 'flagship event'. To create fresh, flexible, innovative conference content and delivery to inspire leading Managers and the National sales team to achieve targets and showcase the latest advancing company technology to managers and sales teams. To ensure Managers and Sales Team were across the latest company trends and innovations. Deliver reward based incentive trip destinations for 2013.
EMG's involvement in this event was not limited to event management but rather high level input and responsibility into the program content from the sourcing of knowledgable speakers with relevant expertise, to onscreen content creation, innovative team building activities, and associated social functions to ensure the delegates (400 to 1200) were kept engaged and motivated throughout the entire event week.
EMG led the team to design and produce a spectacular event which saw the introduction of new technologies into our conferencing environment, allowing us to maximise branding opportunities and create powerful presentations. This conference is now one of our flagship events and EMG's work has lead to that success
EMG has now managed this conference for three years. To develop a successful relationship and to be able to manage an event of this size and diversity, EMG needed to truly understand our client's goals and objectives. From the onset EMG made a conscious decision to spend time and effort with the client in understanding the company's corporate culture and business planning. By doing this it has allowed us to work alongside the client in developing worthwhile and relevant content to meet their business objectives coupled with using our creative minds to draw together the latest technologies and onscreen methods to make the presentations informative, inspiring and fun.
Flexibility and technology for this year's event was critical. Due to the goals of the client it was of great importance that EMG be completely flexible with our approach to the creative and onscreen presentations. We drew our team together and developed a series of presentation option styles and guidelines, which allowed the client to pick and choose which ones best suited a presenter and topic. The more dynamic the topic the more creative the onscreen presentation became. The outcome at the conference was both dynamic and different.

The 'Mucho Grande Paella Challenge'
After the lunch sessions delegates were informed to collect a colured bandana and break into their allocated groups. They were then whisked away on buses and told of the afternoon that lay ahead. With only 30 minutes allowed and a limited budget for gathering ingredients at the Prahran market, the groups had to vote on a leader and delegate certain sections of the shopping. Once the 30 minutes were up buses departed to the designated cooking venue and if you missed the bus you had to find your own way there. Additionally to the cooking challenge groups also had to decorate their dining tables with allocated items. With a Spanish guitarist and a feature Danish shoe, delegates "had a great night"!

TAS Young Australian of the Year 2010 - Brad Smith Entrepreneur
Twenty-two year old Brad Smith is a budding entrepreneur with his own business, Braaap. It all began at age 17 when he imported his first mini bikes from China and was disappointed with the quality. He researched the market extensively and went to China where he sourced two factories prepared to make bikes to his specifications. He now produces arguably the best pit bikes available worldwide. With another vision to sell motorbikes alongside street clothes Brad opened his first store over a year ago, closely followed by a second store.
Named Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 in the Small Business Champion Awards, he is also the Mini Supercross Champion of Australia. Brad has built four mini motorcross tracks in Tasmania and wants to have mini tracks built near all local townships to keep young people off the streets. A dynamic and enthusiastic individual, Brad Smith is someone to watch.
EMG created ramps for both the plenary hall and the banquet hall through the walkway up onto the stage so as Brad Smith could ride his directly onto the stage. His motorbike stayed on stage whilst he gave his Sales Kickoff Opening Speech. Brad's entrance onto the stage on his motorbike was reflective of this young entrepreneurs "courageous" and exciting personality.
